Babies

Our reason for heading to Idaho on March 12 was not a very fun one. But the experience we had once we got there will be with us forever.

Zoey Stephenson passed away March 15, 2009. We got to be with her the morning of her passing...to feel of her sweet spirit was amazing. Her daddy gave her a father's blessing that morning that Rustin and I were lucky to witness. My heart overflowed with emotion as he spoke, bearing his testimony of our Heavenly Father's Plan, blessing his sweet baby girl with peace and comfort. Zoey parents, Ryan and Heidi, are such incredible examples of faith and complete trust in our Heavenly Father.

Services for Zoey were held the following day, on a very cold but sunny morning. Displayed at the service were a couple pictures a photographer had taken of Zoey and her sister Ayla together. It was so sweet to see those tiny girls snuggling close!

Back at the hospital we got to spend time sitting in baby Ayla's room reading stories to her and watching her rest with her cute little bow on her head! Being at those girl's bedside was such a humbling and testimony building experience for us. Rustin and I are so happy those two have joined our family!

Baby Ayla continues to give her parents gray hairs with her ups and downs...but she is growing and feisty as ever!

How sad! It breaks me heart. It makes me sad that the two girls have to be separated! I hope that Ayla pulls through!
