For Family Home Evening, we ventured to our local pumpkin patch...which just happens to be the totally awesome Dell'Osso Family Farm. We took Blake last year...and it was fun today to think about how much things have changed in just one year!
At this time last year Blake had only had one bleed, a muscle bleed thanks to a vaccine. We were so paranoid by the slightest head bump, that when he bonked his head last year while at the pumpkin patch we called to talk to our amazing hemophilia nurses & doctor, who reassured us he'd be fine.
Flash forward to now...two hospitalizations, a blood clot in a main vein, two central lines, and multiple head CT's, not to mention the giant forehead knots that appear just as one is about heal...and we are doing pretty darn good! We have the happiest boy ever and (we think) the cutest!!
See for yourself...
Blake wasn't too into the petting zoo like he was last year. He wouldn't let us put him down!
Look at that face.

Rustin still carries him the same way!
Pumpkin Blasters.
We didn't have tickets to go on the train...so we planned on just watching the train chug on by, when a sweet man I had met at work spotted me and insisted we get on! He was so cute! He even let Blake get up close and blow the whistle. Blake wasn't too sure about the ride though...he clung to us and didn't seem too impressed. If we'd been at home however, and heard a train he would've gasped and ran toward the sound of the choo-choo! Silly kid.
Typical Blake face...he heard the farm train coming and couldn't take his eyes off it.
Still mesmerized by the train.

Notice the concentration face in the first photo...Blake has gotten a bit heavier.
I think it would be great to recreate this pic every year!!
