Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Today, we had an AMAZING time in Santa Cruz.
(warning: tons of photos ahead!!)

Our first stop was the boardwalk.

Lines were short, so we hit up a couple rides.

It took Blake a little while to warm up to the idea...even with Rustin right there, he didn't seem to enjoy his first merry-go-round experience!

The second ride went a little better...but boy was I dizzy after!

Our third ride was by far Blake's favorite!
Trucks and a steering wheel...he made his 'car noise' the whole time.

Blake insisted on pushing the stroller everywhere rather than riding in it!

All the walking and ride riding we did, worked up our appetites...Rustin's pick.

Blake promptly threw the corn-dog on the ground once he got his little hands on it!
Little stinker...he preferred the orange slices we brought for him.

Blake had a blast playing in the sand. Because of his central line, we try really hard not to let him get too dirty because baths are such a challenge (baths = dressing changes which are not fun for anyone!) But today was dressing change/bath day, so we covered his line really good and let him have at it! He was in heaven with that sand between his toes, all over his head, and in his mouth.

Blake carried his little shovel everywhere, (see it in his hand??!!) digging and scooping sand. He was obsessed with climbing into every hole we dug...or one we came upon while walking up & down the beach. He was so proud of himself every time he got in, it was hilarious! But you better not try to bury his feet...he did not like that at all.

LOVE those sandy toes!
Notice how he's stacked the toys...just like the tupperware stuff at home!

By the end of the day...this boy was exhausted!
He was such a trooper on the way home, sleeping most of the two hour ride.
Then at home he got a much needed bath and his dressing changed!
Then my clean boy was off to bed.
