Weekend Away

1. First stop in Santa Cruz, Natural Bridges State Beach. 

2. Played in the sand and froze our bums off.

3. In the hole that Blake helped Rustin dig.

4. The boys loved chasing and running away from the waves. 

5. Blake's latest love...frisbee. He got pretty good throwing it. But his favorite part was chasing it and hiding it from daddy, usually by sitting on it.

6. We think he got hooked because of one the youtube videos he's obsessed with lately, that shows crazy basketball & frisbee tricks.

1. Best $120 we've ever spent...hotel with an indoor pool! Blake was in heaven. "Fwim! Fwim!"

2. First time swimming since Summer of 2010. 

3. Loved to jump to Rustin. Usually only after Rustin first jumped in while Blake watched. 

4. Although the pool was heated...Blake shivered like crazy!

5. Such trust in his daddy.

6. After dinner and waiting to go swimming again. 

7. He was so silly playing on the bed and he only fell off once!

8. Love him!

9. We got some water wings...we got them on only after some big time persuasion! 

10. Wings didn't last long...he wanted them "OFFFFF!" So Rus put them on...he is such a cool dad. Blake absolutely loved being thrown up in the air. He would say, "Again? Again?" over & over.



Us.

1. Bedhead & a hot continental breakfast. But Blake picked fruitloops.
2. Waiting for the pool to reopen after being cleaned...but it never did! I think we were more sad than Blake.
3. Off to Manresa State Beach to enjoy the blue skies.
4. Butters on the the beach! (Blake calls pb&j sandwiches "butters!")
5. No hoop at the beach...had to improvise.
6. He's still a perfect shot!
7. This football was sitting next to me and Blake yelled, "Football please mommy!"
8. Jumps off everything.

10. What KEEP OFF sign?!

At 2pm on the dot Blake began saying, "All done beach! Bye bye beach! Bye bye waters!" He was done and wanted a nap. So we scurried to pick up and head home. But first we had to take our family pic!! Thank you Gorilla-Cam app!
